Gcash Invest or Gsave | Which is a better Gcash financial product?
Last August 2020, I decided to give both products a try.
Gcash Invest vs. GSave
I love that both products are very easy to use and convenient! As a verified Gcash user, it takes you 5 minutes to open both accounts. You can easily transfer money from your Gcash wallet and you’re good to go.
GSave is powered by CIMB and offers a 3.1% Interest Rate. Even if you deduct the 20% withholding tax from there, GSave still does way better than the return rate of 1.55%

Of course, both of them are completely different products. GSave is a savings account powered by CIMB, while Gcash is a money market fund powered by Atram. The interest rate for GSave is assured and fixed, while for money market securities they can be arbitrary and can go either way, depending on the fund’s performance.

Of course, the two are completely different products. GSave is a savings account powered by CIMB, a digital bank known for its high-interest rates, while Gcash is a money market fund powered by Atram.
The interest rate for GSave is assured and fixed–at 3.1% to 4%, depending on if you were able to avail of the promo. For Gcash Invest, and other money market securities they can be arbitrary and can go either way. You can lose more money–or gain more money, depending on the fund’s performance.

Final Thoughts and Recommendations
So should you choose Gcash Invest or GSave?
At the end of the day, it will largely depend on your risk profile and your timeline. If you are looking for stable returns, GSave is the way to go. If you do want to be called an ‘Investor’ versus ‘Saver’, then you can try and dabble into Gcash Invest Money.
As savings for your Emergency Fund, GSave is perfect. It also makes sense as savings for your Short Term Goals.

If it’s your first jump from Saver to Investor, Gcash Invest Money makes a great first choice—it’s easy, fast, convenient, and accessible. If you’re already a Gcash user, it makes perfect sense to try out Gcash Invest.
Right now, I believe the better product to suit my current needs would be GSave. interest is assured, plus it is PDIC Insured. While GCash Invest could potentially net me more money, I have other mutual funds also and thus it is not my investment priority.
